Hi Loretta,

You can use Wordpress function to show the following:

date - the_date();
reference: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/the_date

author - the_author();
reference: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/the_author

category - the_category();
reference: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/the_category

If you can be more specific where to insert these, I might be able to give you better instructions on how to do it.

Hope these helps,

Hi Michael,

Opening the file in Photoshop should work. I think you better try again.

If you are trying to edit the logo, I recommend you to:
1. download the PSD file at the members.
2. Edit the design of the logo in Photoshop.
3. Slice the dimension of the logo.
4. Save for Web. Make sure that the new logo file is in GIF format.
5. Replace the old logo file with the new one.

Hope this helps,

I downloaded the logo.gif but I can't open it because Photoshop says "Could not complete your request because a unexpected end-of-file was encountered".

I've tried downloading it again to no avail. Please help.

Hi Marcus,

By default, wordpress is set to display 10 posts per page. You can change it to 6 by going to Settings -> Reading Settings and changing the value of 'Blog pages show at most' to 6.

Hope this helps,

Hello guys!

I would like to make one little customization of my Turn Out Mag Theme and maybe you can help.

When I navigate to any category front page of a site of mine with this theme, this category front page shows ten little squares with one news post in each of these squares.

I would like this category front page to show only 6 of these news. Is it possible. What do I need to change?

Thanks.

Hi Lloyd,

You need access to your FTP to see the images folder. Login to your FTP and go to

yoursite_folder/wp-content/themes/turnout/images

Hope this helps,

Hi John,

The logo in the header is not a text but an image. To change the logo, replace the logo.gif file in the images folder. You may download and use the PSD file so that your logo will have a similar design with the turnout mag logo.

Hope this helps,

The header of the theme as installed shows "Turn Out Mag" with a second line of "Premium Wordpress Magazine Theme".

This appears to be the blog name & description, but the header.php file only has an entry for blog name <?php bloginfo('name'); ?>

This is not picking up the blog name entered in the General settings of my blog.

The header.php does not appear to have an image file that would be putting the default text in the header.

Can you please let me know how I get the theme to show my blog name & description in the header?

Thanks.

Regards,
Jack

Hi Jon,

The turnout theme doesn't have a home.php therefore it will use the default file which is the index.php. If you'd like a separate file homepage file, simple copy and paste index.php and rename the new file to home.php. From here, you can now edit the homepage without affecting the default file which is the index.php.

Hope this helps,
